Church Membership

One of the goals of NZBCA is to promote  the development of Biblical counselling centres across New Zealand.  

Biblical counselling, by its very nature, happens within the context of the local church. Therefore it makes sense for us to not only encourage our Biblical counsellors to serve their local church, but also to support local church in their starting up and maintaining a biblical counselling ministry as part of their ministry to their congregations and even to their communities. 
We believe that Biblical Counselling belongs within the context of the local church. This means that the church leadership have oversight of the ministry and the biblical counsellors are accountable to the local church leaders. For there to be a effective biblical counselling ministry in a church there needs to be a good working relationship between the leaders and the counsellors. 
The role of NZBCA is to support both the biblical counsellors as well as the local church but never have authority over either. 
This membership exists under the name of the local church and therefore requires one of the church elders to purchase the membership. 
The church can use this membership to full support their biblical counsellors or subsides the biblical counsellors fees to their NZBCA membership.

Consultation

We’ll come to you  or connect via zoom to spend time answering questions and helping you think through each stage of the process to set up a ministry in your church, including getting church buy-in and more.
